Wall Organizer
How many people have an area on their kitchen counter that is used as the entry dump site? You come in the house and you drop the mail, contents of your pocket, and your keys on the table. Here is a custom organizer to help control your clutter!
What you will need:
(1) 22” x 38” design panel
(1/2” thick)
(1) 1x4x8’ pine board
Tools
Table Saw or Circular Saw
Miter Saw
Nailer or hammer
Drill
Steps:
1. Cut your design panel.
2. Cut 28” off of the 1×4, and rip down the rest to 1” strips.
3. Cut (2) 22” pieces of trim for your 1” thick board. Then cut (2) 40” pieces.
4. Using wood glue and an air nailer, attach the trim boards. (Stain boards if you wish).
5. Build a box for mail. Use a 12” long piece and (2) 6” long pieces. Rip these board to 2” wide. Using a kreg jig, create pocket holes.
6. Attach mail box to the design panel with wood glue and pocket-hole screws.
7. Using a scrap piece of 1/4” thick plywood, nail a front piece to the mail box. It shoudl be approximately 12” wide X 6.75” tall.
8. Attach accessories like hooks and clips to desired areas.
9. Attach wall hangers to the back.
